We invite the women who manifest Interest in religious life to accompany them in clarifying the call and assessing their potential to live the Good Shepherd mission and life… and a mature person rooted in faith who desires to have a closer relationship with God, and attract toward the Good Shepherd Charisam and mission.
Candidacy
Program
• Candidate will have 2 retreats periodically.
• An intensive English course for six months
• Work Experience for one year

Pre novitiate (Postulancy)
A mature woman with an ardent and sincere desire to give herself freely and totally to Jesus the Good Shepherd.
Program
• To experience the mission of Good Shepherd
• before commencing the pre-novitiate program, develop language skills – Sinhala, Tamil, and English
• Introducing different methods of prayer.
• Study of scripture guides through the theological reflection to journey towards her goal.
• Reading and reflecting on the lives of St. John Eudes, St. Mary Euphrasia, and blessed Maria Droste.
• Pre-novices enter the novitiate following 8 days retreat.

Novitiate
A sister who identified herself with Jesus the Good Shepherd’s vision and the Charisma of St. John Eudes and St. M. Euphrasia.

Program.
• Introducing different methods of prayer.
• Practicing the Vowed Life…
• Study of Scripture guides through the theological reflection to journey towards her goal.
• Reading and reflecting on the lives of St. John Eudes, St. Mary Euphrasia, and blessed Maria Droste.
• Deepening prayer life
• To experience the mission of the congregation by participating in some ministries.
• Mission immersion – visit to those at the margins, exposure programs.
• Lived experience of the Good Shepherd Ministry in the 2nd year outside the formation House (4-6 months)
Temporally Professed
A compassionate woman who possesses a deep and sincere desire to give herself totally to God.
A sister who identified herself with the vision of Jesus the Good Shepherd and the Charisma of St. John Eudes and St. M. Euphrasia.
